Death… The truth

What a subject…

At 41 I have dealt with more than my share of death. I’ve lost my father, grandparents, uncle’s, friends, and many had no business leaving so early … In my opinion.

Death is inevitable. We all need to come to terms with this fact.

Not to be cliche but we absolutely need to live every day as if it’s our last.

I kiss my kids as if it is. I work my ass off every day. If I die, my kids will know I worked hard every day of my life.

I spend my time with them knowing my time with them isn’t guaranteed.

I wished they understood this, however at their age I had already dealt with deeply painful death. I don’t wish that upon them.

I like to believe I am a Superman, superdad, and a no limit man. Nevertheless I realize I am very much mortal.

I think we avoid this subject at times but I think it’s necessary to ponder on this every now and then.
